Overview
The 4WD front suspension consists of the following components:

The vehicle is equipped with a front coil spring suspension. This independent-type front suspension utilizes a stabilizer bar to aid in vehicle stability. The wheel hub and wheel bearing are sealed units and are serviced as an assembly. The lower ball joints can be serviced independently from the lower arms.
The vehicle has available Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) Suspension. The system allows the user to customize the ride with Comfort, Normal and Sport modes. Sensors constantly monitor the vehicle’s suspension motion, body movement, steering and braking.

Ford Diagnostic Assumptions
Ford diagnostics assume the vehicle concern described by the test title is currently present. Exceptions to this rule are noted in each test. Do not replace modules or other components as directed by a diagnostic if the concern is not present at the time of testing.
