Lincoln Navigator: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / Steering Column Shrouds. Removal and Installation

Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Fully extend and lower the steering column.
-
Remove the lower steering column shroud bolts.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

Release the lower steering column shroud front tabs.
-
Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left.
-
Release the LH tab.
Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

Rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees to the right.
-
Release the RH tab.
Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

Remove the lower steering column shroud.
-
Release the lower steering column side tabs.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Position the lower steering column shroud rearward and downward, releasing the rear tabs.
-
If equipped.
Disconnect the driver status monitor camera electrical connectors.
-
Release the tabs and position the gap hider aside.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove the upper steering column shroud.
Installation
-
NOTE:
Transfer parts as necessary.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
