Removal
NOTE:
Right hand (RH) shown, left hand (LH) similar.

Remove the second row seat.
Refer to: Second Row Seat (501-10B Second Row Seats, Removal and Installation).

Remove the second row single seat head restraint guide sleeves.
Refer to: Second Row Seat Head Restraint Guide Sleeve (501-10B Second Row Seats, Removal and Installation).
-
Remove the second row single seat manual release handle.
Refer to: Second Row Seat Manual Release Handle (501-10B Second Row Seats, Removal and Installation).

If equipped.
Remove the second row single seat armrest.
Refer to: Second Row Single Seat Armrest (501-10B Second Row Seats, Removal and Installation).

Remove the second row single seat child safety seat tether anchor bezel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Release the retainers and remove the second row single seat recline handle cover.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove the screw and the second row single seat recline handle.
-
Remove the second row single seat outboard backrest pivot arm cover.
-
Remove the second row single seat outboard backrest pivot arm cover screws.
-
Release the second row single seat outboard backrest pivot arm cover clip.
-
Release the second row single seat outboard backrest pivot arm cover retainers.
-
Remove the second row single seat inboard backrest pivot arm cover.
-
Remove the second row single seat inboard backrest pivot arm cover screw.
-
Release the second row single seat inboard backrest pivot arm cover retainers.
-
On both sides.
Remove the second row single seat backrest pivot arm bolts.
Torque:
133 lb.in (15 Nm)
-
Position the second row single seat cushion forward.
-
Release the second row single seat backrest pivot arm bracket from the second row single seat backrest.
-
Position the second row single seat cushion forward.
-
Disconnect the second row seat power lumbar assembly air line.
-
Press inward on the second row seat power lumbar assembly air line retainer.
-
Pull outward on the second row seat power lumbar assembly air line.
-
Release the second row single seat pin-type retainers and position the backrest rear straps aside.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Remove the second row single seat outboard side shield screws.
-
Release the clip and tabs and remove the second row single seat outboard side shield.
-
Remove the second row single seat inboard side shield screws.
-
Release the clips and tabs and remove the second row single seat inboard side shield.
-
Position the second row single seat backrest in the downward position.
-
Install the recline handle onto the recline handle sprocket.
-
Position the second row single seat backrest in the downward position.
-
Position the second row single seat backrest cover upward.
-
Release the second row single seat backrest cover lower J-clip.
-
Position the second row single seat backrest cover up.
-
Feed the second row seat power lumbar air hose
through the hole in the second row single seat backrest cover.
-
Release the second row single seat backrest cover retainers.
-
Detach the second row single seat backrest cover retainers and position the straps aside.
-
Release the second row single seat backrest cover pin-type retainers.

Release the second row single seat backrest cover
pin-type retainers and position the second row single seat backrest
cover aside.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Position the second row single seat backrest in the upward position.
-
Install the recline handle onto the recline handle sprocket.
-
Position the second row single seat backrest in the upward position.
-
-
Unzip the RH side of the second row single seat backrest cover.
-
Unzip the LH side of the second row single seat backrest cover.
-
Position the second row single seat backrest foam and cover upward.
-
Lift upward and outward on the second row single seat backrest cover and foam assembly.
-
Disconnect the second row seat backrest blower motor electrical connector.
-
Release the second row seat backrest blower motor wire harness retainer.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Remove the second row single seat backrest cover and foam as an assembly.
-
Disconnect the second row single seat heated backrest electrical connector.
-
Release the second row single seat heated backrest wire harness retainer.
-
Remove the second row single seat backrest cover and foam as an assembly.
-
NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the second row seat backrest blower motor.
-
Release the second row seat backrest blower motor J-clip and straps.
-
Release the second row seat backrest blower motor tabs.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

NOTICE:
Use care when separating the backrest cover from the
hook-and-arrows, or the hooks can be torn from the backrest foam.
NOTICE:
Use care when separating the backrest cover from the
hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and -loop strips may be torn from the
backrest foam.
NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the second row single seat backrest cover.

Invert the second row single seat backrest cover.
-
Release the hook and loop strips.
-
Release the hook and arrows.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
