Lincoln Navigator: Wipers and Washers / Windshield Wiper Motor. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

NOTE:
The hood is removed in this procedure for clarity.

Remove the cowl panel grill.
Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

If equipped, detach the windshield electrical connector retainer.
-
Remove the wiper linkage assembly bolts.
-
Remove the wiper linkage and motor assembly.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the link seals during
removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor
windshield wiper performance.
Detach the RH windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank.

Detach the link.
-
Position the link aside.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the link seals during
removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in poor
windshield wiper performance.
Detach the LH windshield wiper link from the windshield wiper motor crank.

Detach the link.
-
Position the link aside.

Position the wiper motor cover to access the linkage bolts.
-
Remove the windshield wiper motor bolts, the motor clamp plates and the wiper motor.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
-
Tighten the wiper linkage and motor assembly bolts in the order shown.
Torque:
71 lb.in (8 Nm)
